The comparison between men and handbags has to be my all time favourite in expressing the way in which women strive after the perfect man. The way in which woman are always searching for a bag that has all the perfect qualities; to be aesthetically pleasing, to hold together all the essential pieces of their lives and to be sturdy, unbreakable and reliable. These bags come few and far, and usually one characteristic outweighs another. The aesthetically pleasing handbags break due to their handmade woven straps and the sturdy bags don't have the beautifully crafted structure. Women buy handbag after handbag thinking that they are an investment which will reap the rewards, however the gorgeous handbags that look so fantastic on your arm break within weeks, the cracks begin to show as they have no substance. Women will always have that one bag, the bag that they can rely on no matter what. It may not be shiny, real-leather or in season, but it's sturdy, unbreakable and trustworthy. You know that bag will never break, and whenever the new pretty handbags let you down, there's always THAT bag to fall back on...alot of the time you don't want to be seen with the old bag, you're constantly on a search for a brand new one that everyone will admire. Yet you know that deep down, that no matter what anyone thinks, that bag will always be there, it will remain unbroken and carry all your memories and baggage.
